Jörgen Hasselström appointed acting Executive Vice President (EVP) Energy in Multiconsult ASA

Multiconsult ASA will, as off 22 January 2018, include the role of EVP Energy in the corporate management team and Jörgen Hasselström will lead the Energy unit until a permanent EVP is appointed.

Jörgen Hasselström joined Multiconsult in 2017 and has an extensive leadership experience from the energy sector that includes various positions at ABB, Fortum, and most recently, at Sweco. He is a Swedish citizen born in 1972 and has a Doctorate degree in physics from Uppsala University, Sweden. While at Sweco, he managed the largest power transmission consulting business in the Nordics, including significant international activities.

– There is currently a major transformation of the energy sector. The requirements for accessibility to renewable energy are increasing and the European power systems are integrating. In developing countries, the availability of secure and environmentally friendly energy is important in fighting poverty and promoting increased equality. Multiconsult has valuable expertise, which is highly demanded both regionally and internationally. I look forward to further developing the Energy business at Multiconsult in line with the ambitions, says Jörgen Hasselström.

The process of recruiting a permanent EVP Energy has started and Multiconsult will publish an announcement when the process is completed.
