The winning team consists of LINK Arkitektur AB, as general architectural consultant with responsibility for the healthcare buildings, Wingårdh Arkitektkontor Aktiebolag, with responsibility for urban planning and Sydväst arkitektur & landskap AB, with responsibility for landscape. In total, the new buildings will consist of approximately 65 000 square meters and will include among other healthcare areas; psychiatry, habilitation and palliative care.
The hospital is expected to be completed in year 2034.
Over the past decade, LINK Arkitektur has designed over 2.5 million square meters of hospitals in Scandinavia. Currently working with Västerås Emergency Hospital and Växjö Emergency Hospital, two of Sweden's largest hospital projects, as well as the new Rikshospitalet in Oslo, Hammerfest Hospital and Drammen Hospital in Norway. The project portfolio of hospitals also includes a patient hotel and a new wing building at Rigshospitalet Copenhagen, a multi award-winning project.
